Google made an announcement yesterday in which it added another scholarship program named “Google Lime Scholarship for Students with Disabilities” to its impressive list of scholarships. This time Google has partnered and join hands with Lime to offer this scholarship.
This program is targeted towards providing scholarship to those disabled students who are pursuing a computer scienceĀ degree in Canada or USA.
Lime is a non profit organization that attempts to that joins disabled people with global organizations in its attempt to bring a unique source of talent.
The scholarships are set to be awarded for academic year spanning from 2009-2010. The recipients will get the chance to attend an all expenses paid retreat at the GooglePlex located in Mountain View in 2010.
Google hopes that this program will provide opportunities for the deserving disabled students and provide a positive push to them in pursuing a degree in computer science.
