Over the past week, blockage of Pirate Bay, Vimeo and other websites in India have infuriated the online hacker group Anonymous. As a response, they initiated Operation India.
We have started to see the effects. The All India Congress and the Supreme Court of India websites have been pulled down by Anonymous. A DDoS attack is being speculated as the reason though official sources have not commented on this yet.
Anon has taken up responsibility for the attack and greeted the “Citizens of India” with a tweet.
Namaste #India, your time has come to trash the current government and install a new one. Good luck. | #SaveTPB #Anonymous #Censorship

#Update 1 : Just a minor update, the next target (from their tweet) is likely to be the Department of Telecommunications and CopyrightLabs.in (deals with torrents, movies and copyright issues related to them in India) website.
Hat tip Neeraj!
