Creating Buzz is Good, but till some Extent. This is something very Common which is happening all over the internet today. People are trying to create Buzz but actually they just unnecessarily hype up things.
- iPhone’s are considered the most trendy and advanced Mobile Phones Ever. So? People start blogging about it thinking that people might like to read about it (What latest Apps are released, updates on HardWare 🙂 and so they make up hype but actually there are more Nokia Phone owners than the iPhone ones. But Why? It’s simple, people don’t go according to reality but to what they think is right, i.e here it is iPhone.
- Now the next thing, Apple’s Tablet. Apple has not spoken a word about any of the upcoming products still the internet full of blogosphere posting news. It’s very funny because it seems like we are advertising a product of which we arent sure even if such product exists.
- How can i forget Google Wave. I bet you know what Google Wave. Well It’s Being considered as the Next Big Thing on the internet. But there are still months remaining for the Launch and people who haven’t had a preview of the service start posting about Google Wave, the features and so on.
- Google Chrome OS, this ones much related to Google. People claimed Chrome OS to be Microsofts Competitor, but the product is about a year away from its launch. Now how can you possibly state something as Microsoft’s Competitor when you even don’t know how it is like, especially when it’s 1 year away from public release? Funny isn’t it?
- I shouldn’t be saying this But this time it’s Twitter. It’s not anyones fault but yes Twitter is creating a lot of Hype for various different things. Like the Commercial Accounts thingy, yes its been in news for quite some time but the release is actually quite far from what is being suggested. The Commercialization of Twitter is also something which is being talked about and rumors being thrown about when there is no official word from the Company
All this hype is practically useless and create unnecessary confusion among consumers and also sometimes may put them in wrong impression of certain products. Also its a waste spending time talking and predicting future about things which are not even existing!
This Hype is useless as this remains for short time and rarely benefits companies if they are trying to promote such things. So what we find common here is that people do things which they think will be liked by the others. Let me Put it in Simple Words.
I am a Blogger. I think it will be useful posting content about tips and Tricks on iPhone when 3/4 of the population visiting my Blog owns a Nokia Phone
The thing is This Sometimes we don’t need to go on with what we think is right but we have to look at it from the other perspective too.
Inspirations Drawn from Ankesh’s Post.
I completely agree with your points monik! But we can’t help it, it happens with the best of the Products and a think this is all a PR game.

Yash Saha.
Yes, its all part of the Game!
People are on a searching spree to gather information on upcoming products and services, they would like to have something which has not yet released to public, so they go on digging search engines and ends up on various blog articles / websites
Now a days, many of the famous web companies are using strategies by only revealing their upcoming product name and few details which makes the users to go on a searching spree and everyone would like to have it first………
All these are tactics but finally what they want from you is a sale. They can go till any extent for that and that’s why they create all this hype which is not much needed.
Actually the companies expect the users to create a hype out of it, after all the product is free for now and when it becomes popular with a huge userbasee, they sell it over or started commercializing just like what twitter is planning to do………
Yes Thats What the thing is. But sometimes the Hype is too much. Like for Apples Tablet. No word from Company but still it’s everywhere and i think if not stopped some people might get fed up of all this stuff and tweet things like “When will this Apple Tablet Shit go Away?”
Monik you have pointed out some good stuff but the thing is people should always concentrate on their blog’s niche, many times bloggers just post stuff on their blogs immediately only because its fresh and no one knows it, so they want to break the news but they don’t know there many blogs to do that, mainly Techcrunch. Bloggers should talk about their niche and keep the news to the blogs with the news as a niche. If some news affects your niche, you should point that out. You should not just write a post to tell people what the product is.
.-= Rohit´s last blog ..Had a great weekend! =-.
Well, yes instead of posting Shit on the Blog, one can post quality posts like which should include unique things and so we give readers to read our blog!
